Facility Program: Train the Trainer
Respiratory Protection/PPE Training
Staff will learn about the implementation of a Respiratory Protection Program, when respirators should be worn, doning and doffing PPE and the process of performing fit tests on staff and the selection of respirators
This program aims to establish an “IPC Champion” role at each facility to ensure there is oversight of IPC practices and staff training, targeted review and improvements of IPC policies and procedures, and administration support for IPC implementation. The program also offers a pathway for professional development in IPC for participating champions.
This is a comprehensive 12-week course designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in infection prevention. The program covers a wide range of topics, including hygiene practices, infection control protocols, and other topics. Spring Cohort will be announced once registration re-opens.
